Any participant taking part in one of the competitions covered by these rules undertakes to respect them and to know all of these points when he comes to pick up his bib.

Article 2 – Participation / Categories
2.A – The BELGIAN ENDURO CUP (BEC) is open to all competitors whether licensed or not.
For licensees (FCWB / RLWB), the presentation of the license will be requested during registration.
For non-licensees, they will be asked to subscribe to a one-day insurance with the FCWB. (You can only do this 3 times in a season) . A medical certificate will be requested for competitive sports practice.
In the event of a foreign license (UCI), you will be asked to present an authorization from your federation to participate in the race in Belgium, which we advise you to request in advance (3 months) and for all the races of the season.
2.B –The maximum number of participants is determined by the organizer of each event according to its hosting capacities.
2.C - The BEC is open to all; from 15 years old during the year. The age categories will be distributed as follows:

CADETS 15-16 years old
JUNIORS 17-18 years old,
ELITES 19-34 years old,
MASTERS 1 35-44 years old,
MASTERS 2 45 to 54 years old,
MASTERS 3 55ans et +
2.D - Electric bikes will not be allowed to race in the above categories, a category is created for the event (category - 505Wh and 505Wh + ) (sticker provided by the organizer) and will take the departure before (with a 15-minute gap).
The participants will be in a separate classification (the E-BIKE category being apart and included in the Belgian E-Duro Cup). A specific format can be freely applied by the organizer and neutralize these two categories while remaining in the general total.
The bike must be equipped with an original engine and not modified so as not to exceed 25km/h of maximum assistance (with a tolerance of 2KM/h).
A check may be carried out before the start as well as at the finish of the last special. Anyone running with a non-compliant bike will be fined €150 and will be denied entry to subsequent events.
The format will be identical to the Enduro race except for noted exceptions, piloting being privileged in the series. The pilot will be downgraded from the event in the event of non-compliance.
Article 3 – Course and running of the race
3.A - The Special Stages (ES) adopt a descending profile. 136bad5cf58d_ descent for 10 to 25% flat or possibly a small climb which represents the ideal distribution). The courses will have to present a minimum of technicality which will be evaluated by the committee and appreciated by the other organizers in order to guarantee a certain quality to the whole of the series.
3.B- Participants will not be allowed to spot the special stage before their start of the race, which will be delimited at the Start by a ribbon carefully installed by the organizer according to the following rule:
4m gap between the starting line and the timing carpet around which a radius of 2 meters will be taped to avoid the passage of waiting competitors.
In case of crossing, the competitor will be given a sanction of 15 seconds. An exception may be made on certain stages and according to the organiser's authorization.
3.C – Number of ES: the number of timed sectors must be at least 5 and if possible 4 different ones.
3.D – The connections between the stages (sectors not timed) must be made by pedalling. Under no circumstances may a competitor resort to the use of personal vehicles to get to the start of the ES. On these connecting sections, competitors must respect the Highway Code when they take or cross lanes open to traffic. The connection time will be limited (by a time barrier communicated by the organizer or by a determined departure time which, in the event of non-compliance, will generate a penalty equal to its delay time according to the rules below). The organizer undertakes to signpost the connections sufficiently.
Penalties for arriving late on the imposed departure time:
from 1 second to 60 seconds: penalty of the number of seconds late
from 1 to 5 minutes: penalty of one minute per minute started
more than 5 minutes: penalty of 5 minutes + 1 minute for each 5 minutes of additional delay
3.E- As the routes may take military, private or protected land, competitors are reminded that it is strictly forbidden to leave the authorized trails.
The passage is only authorized on the day of the race for the good of the event and the sustainability of it. It will therefore be forbidden to ride before and after. He may be banned from participating in the following events. (Cfr : Forest Code or other specific regulation)
IT IS THEREFORE FORBIDDEN TO RIDE BEFORE AND AFTER THE RACE ON THE TRACKS WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, SOME CROSSING ROADS/PRIVATE PROPERTIES.
3.F- Reconnaissance 30 days before the event will be prohibitedand open to penalties unless waived by the organizer. The organizer penalizes the rider caught by 2 minute penalty. All forms of evidence may be used against him by the committee (Strava, Photo, Instagram, etc.)
3.G - A competitor caught up must leave the passage free, even if he has overtaken the runner before and is being overtaken.
3.H- If a driver shows up late for his start, he is considered to have left and the clock is ticking. Respect departure times unless departure is defined as free.
3.I- Any stolen start will be penalized with a 15-second penalty. The same applies if the competitor cuts a ribbon, he will be penalized by 15 seconds.
3.D- The rider declared the winner will be the one who completes the entire course in the minimum amount of time, by cumulating the times of the special stages. In the event of a tie, the time of the last special will decide between the competitors. In the event of a final tie, the commissioner present will make a decision to share.
3.K- Each participant will receive a meal from the organizer at the end of the event.
3.L- Each organizer undertakes to offer a safe route and to check dangerous areas to secure them with nets or mattresses if necessary. The organizer will appoint a person to take care of this point and will be checked the day before or at the opening of the event by a member of the Belgian Enduro Cup.
HOWEVER, EACH PERSON TAKING PART IN THE RACE MUST REMAIN IN CONTROL OF THEIR SPEED AND THEIR BIKE.
Article 4 - Registrations
4.A - Registrations will be managed by each organizer according to their choice of modules to perform the STARTS LISTS. The price may vary from one event to another . (excluding license-day).
4.B – Registrations will be announced in advance on the BEC website www.BelgianEnduroCup.com as well as through the various media (press, Facebook,.. ) and the page or site of the organizer .
4.C - No commitment may be subject to any refund whatever the reason. However, the competitor will be able to resell his place and will provide the buyer with an email or document attesting to the resale of his place.
Each participant is aware that he may be asked for a vaccination certificate or health pass in the event of government enforcement measures.
4.D– The organizers reserve the right to validate the registration of any runner for reasons of communication or media visibility following a specific request. The registration fees will remain payable by the organizer despite everything.
4.E. - The start list will be made imperatively according to the following principle: Ranking of the first 50 of the championship in order at the time of the date of the event as well as according to the ranking of the first 50 of the last year's race if it has already taken place. The other competitors will be placed according to their request guides, trying to respect the levels of the competitors via the registration form. The number 1 will automatically be reserved for the Belgian champion if he is present during the event.
4.F- The organizer undertakes to offer a suitable start and finish site with the following amenities:
Parking or nearby parking facilities
Parking space for the BEC committee
Registration room with space for the timing team
Reception room for the meal of the participants and place for the installation of a podium with Background cover (support to be provided) .
Changing rooms / Showers in case of bad weather conditions unless he was really unable to offer it.
Bike Wash in case of very bad weather conditions unless really impossible given the place of departure.
Access plan for spectators to the various stages visible at least at registration on race day unless prohibited by the DNF.
Chip recovery table.
Bar with catering (for the benefit of the organization)
Space for exhibitor installation if requested.
Installation of partner banners
Installation of an E-bike control location.
CRASHMAP to facilitate the arrival of help.
Room for anti-doping control (see details on the RLVB website: http://www.belgiancycling.be/content.asp?language=fr&id=146&subid=254&sid=&ssid= ).
4.G The minimum registration time will be as follows: the closing of registrations maximum 30 minutes before the pilot briefing. Except for special exceptions requested by the Federation.
Article 5 - Reception and collection of plates
5.A - The reception of the competitors and the removal of the plates will take place on the morning of the race, and according to the times which will be communicated by each organizer. It is possible to organize a withdrawal the day before the race by checking the availability of the federation beforehand.
5.B - Competitors must present their license or complete a one-day insurance in return for which they will be given their frame plate. For foreign runners with a license, they must provide an authorization to leave the country of their federation.

5.C- Each organizer will provide at least one toilet at the reception area for participants.
5.D. - Each organizer undertakes to install an efficient registration table with the following numbers: 1 plate exchange/change, 1 federation/license, 1 pack discount with plate/chip, 1 deposit for the chip.
Article 6 – Equipment Compliance
6.A - The bikes will be mountain bike types, with a handlebar fitted with caps and without end caps. This hanger should be flat or raised. The bike must be equipped with efficient brakes, front and rear. No Tandem. It is recommended to have a suspension fork with a minimum of 120mm front travel and hydraulic disc brakes.
6.B - The organizer reserves the right to exclude a competitor if he takes part in an event with equipment that may prove to be dangerous or non-compliant: absence of handlebar cap for example or brakes on skates.
6.C- Each competitor will receive a chip timing system during each event to calculate their times during their departures and arrivals.
6.D. - The participant will not be authorized to cut/modify his frame plate that will be given to him. Otherwise, he will be sanctioned with 30 seconds.
6.E. - The participant will not be authorized to change parts (out of wear) during the race such as wheels,... chain, pads, tires and inner tube). This repair must be carried out by the pilot himself or by another competitor wishing to help him. It is therefore not authorized to have assistance except in the case where a technical zone is defined by the organizer during the race. 6.F.– The competitor will have to present himself within the timetable for the withdrawal of the plates which will be allocated to him. Apart from these, the competitor will not be allowed to start.
Article 7 - Equipment and Protections
- Wearing the Full-face helmet, long gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, back protector_cc750 approved jersey 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ long sleeves and shorts (not lycras) are mandatory.
- On-board videos are completely prohibited during the race unless specifically waived.
- Each organizer reserves the right to reinforce this point of the rules.

Any competitor arriving at the start without his helmet with the chinstrap closed will be refused the start.
It is recommended to take something to repair, heal and eat.
The tolerance of not wearing a road helmet (without chin guard) during the links is accepted but strongly recommended.
The Belgian Enduro Cup reserves the right to exclude a rider who breaks the rules by cheating on his safety equipment.
Article 8– Environmental aspect, ethics and race penalties.
8.A- Our practice takes place in a natural setting and we want to preserve it as long and as efficiently as possible. Competitors caught intentionally throwing paper or other non-biodegradable rubbish will be penalized at the 5-minute timer.
8.B- Insults towards a steward, organizers, locals or riders will result in disqualification. Il en est de même en ce qui concerne une rixe ou un comportement agressif ou dangereux envers des personnes ou le material.
8.C- An overtaken competitor must give way, even if he has overtaken the runner before. It is forbidden to park on the route of the specials. In case of intentional interference the penalty will be 15 seconds.
8.D- Disqualification or 5-minute penalty in the event of voluntary crossing of the marked area to save time.
8.E - Disqualification in case of non-compliant material.
These decisions will be taken by a college of commissioners.
The Belgian Enduro Cup reserves the right to exclude a rider from the BEC classification who breaks the rules by cheating on his safety equipment.
Article 9 - Image rights.
By committing to an event, the participants, the organizers authorize the use of all images or videos taken during the races. The same is true for photographers using BEC proofs.
Article 10 – Ranking / Allocation of points
10.A – For each event, the classification is made by adding up the times of each ES. Joker.
Times will be counted to tenths of a second.
10.B - At the end of each race a podium for each defined category will be achieved.
10.D - The general classification of the BEC will be done by adding the points acquired from the 1st round plus bonus points for participation in all rounds. (10 points per round in total)
In the event of a tie, the competitors will be decided by the number of best places totaled over all the races and if this is not enough then they will be decided by the best place at the time of the last race.
Article 11 - Awards and Prize Giving
11.A - For each of the races, the organizers are free to choose their method of rewarding participants.
11.B - Competitors' participation in the prize giving is compulsory. In the case of an unjustified absence at the award ceremony, the competitor will not receive his prize.
11.C- The men's and women's scratch all categories will receive their free registration at the Belgian Enduro Cup at the end of the season as well as a partnership proposal from BIKE2B.
Article 12 Calculation of points.
12.A-Points will be awarded according to the table below. There will be an allocation of points for the Scratch and E-bikes ranking.
12.BParticipants will have to participate in at least 3 races to obtain additional points in the general classification of the BEC. The points are calculated as follows: Accumulated over all the rounds increased by 10 bonus points per round for participation in all the rounds and for the organizers of a race increased by the average of their points on the other races of the series.
